The Engineering Team at Code Climate is responsible for building our polished customer-facing experiences and the underlying technology platform, which processes about two billion lines of source code every weekday across more than 10 programming languages (including Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Python and Swift). We are a small but growing and highly effective team, whereas every team member is vital to the success of the company. Examples of Problems You’ll Be Solving: 

• Work across the stack to deliver new features for Quality and Velocity.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to develop engaging and usable UIs for both our products.
• Improve the performance of our scaling platform.
• Monitor all of the above in a scalable way. We all do ops, so we depend on automation.
• Contribute to our agile development process by participating in code reviews, stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Develop your solution incrementally and deploy often, sometimes several times a day, using CI/CD.
• Interact with a wide range of technologies like AWS, Docker, Kafka, MongoDB and more!

Desired Qualifications: 

• Fluent in UML.
• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience is a huge plus. 
• 5+ years of ReactJS experience.
• Good understanding of Docker.
• You’ve been part of a team that works on large-scale distributed systems and are comfortable working in JavaScript.

Base Salary - 160k-265k / year
